Jake Koers joined SPAC Ltd in early 2017 with over 10 years’ experience in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. He earned his skill set in the commercial refrigeration industry, before leaving that and stepping up to large scale supermarket screens, under the Woolworths and Coles banner. Jake then switched to Central Plant Air Conditioning service maintenance and installation, also specializing in Daikin URV’s which he has in depth knowledge in. Working at the University of Melbourne for over four years, Jake has been at the forefront of implementing BMS strategies, managing and overlooking large-scale repairs of chillers, cooling towers and other central plant items.
Darren has worked in the HVAC industry since 1984. He has worked for York, Carrier and Trane in Australia, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Russia, Singapore, UK, Canada and Papua New Guinea. His experience covers large air conditioning chillers, as well as refrigeration and installation projects for all makes and sizes. From domestic fridges and split air conditioning systems to the technical teaching of the trade, Darren can do it all. He started working for SPAC Ltd in 2017.
Kila joined SPAC Ltd in 2006 as Assistant Service Manager and has over 35 years’ experience in the air conditioning industry. Successfully supervising over 20 service staff and specialising in chiller plants, VRF Systems and IT cooling systems, Kila has a wealth of knowledge. To harness that knowledge, Kila attended and passed his Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in 2016. He was promoted to Training in the newly opened training facility at SPAC’s head office.
Aaron started with the company in January 2017 to supervise and manage our modern fabrication techniques, in the new 1,000sqm sheet metal fabrication facility. Aaron is a qualified Sheet Metal Tradesman with over 10 years’ experience in the air conditioning and sheet metal fabrication industry. Aaron takes pride in delivering a quality product and outcome, for all projects. He is a valued member of the SPAC Ltd team.
Milton is an Engineer with over 8 years’ experience in HVAC Project Management. He managed the Medupi Power Station project, as well as projects for Omegair Contracting Engineering Services in South Africa. Milton has training in Prince2 Foundation and certification in Industrial Management. He commenced with SPAC Ltd in 2018 as Project Manager for the East New Britain Harbourside project.
Marlin gained extensive PNG experience as an Installation Manager and Service Technician. He commenced work as an Installation Manager with SPAC Ltd in September 2017, as we had been awarded the LDL/OPH project. Marlin is a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic and has over 10 years’ experience in service and installation. He takes great pride in his work, is a dynamic leader and committed team player. He also has extensive experience working in mine sites and remote locations; as a result, he has great attention to detail, scheduling and delivery of projects under challenging and diverse conditions.
Tony commenced work as an Installation Manager with SPAC Ltd in September 2017, as we had been awarded the LDL/OPH project. The site has two residential towers, with a large commercial area at ground/podium levels. His team has the task to install full mechanical services throughout the project site. Tony is a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic with over 20 years’ experience in the commercial and industrial sectors of the trade, in both service and installation. This includes supermarket refrigeration, oil and gas (offshore and onshore), marine refrigeration, abattoirs, mining, large mechanical services projects and industrial sites, with experience in large ammonia and C02 plants. He has extensive experience working in Australia, including remote locations and overseas in the Solomon Islands.
Neil has just returned to SPAC as a Projects Installation Manager and has worked in the Air Conditioning Industry for a number of years. From 2013 to 2015 he worked with SPAC on the PNGLNG and Exxon Mobile projects. Neil has worked on a number of other projects in Papua New Guinea including the MRL Building, Kumul Holdings, Paga Hill Project, Harbourside West and Harbour Town.
Karl has worked in Papua New Guinea since 1997 and joined SPAC Ltd in 2010 as Contract Administrator with the Projects Department. He has worked on various projects during his tenure, including Morauta Haus, The Tower and Loloata Island Resort. He also supervised the installation of the AHU’s on the NGI and Chan Development. Karl has extensive experience in the preparation of tenders, submittals, project cash flow forecasts, materials and equipment ordering and reporting.
Jacqueline joined SPAC Ltd in 2007 as a Receptionist and through training, has held several roles with the company during her employment. After obtaining a Diploma in Accounting she was promoted to Finance Supervisor in 2013 and Administration Manager in 2017 and is a valued member of staff.
